London Craft Week: Celebrating the Suffolk Craft Society
“My roots are firmly in the county. Suffolk is where my heart is.”
Though based in London, my roots lie firmly in Suffolk. It’s in my heart—I was born there, partly raised in Sizewell, and lived in Tunstall and Middleton Moor. I’m even planning my return to Sizewell. London may be where business happens, but Suffolk is home.
My connection to the Suffolk Craft Society grew naturally from my appreciation of authentic craftsmanship. I’ve always championed British and global craft. When Carla Carlisle, the former chair, introduced me to the Society, I was immediately drawn in. We shared a vision—to celebrate skill and artistry that goes beyond just making for the market.
My role as Patron of the Suffolk Craft Society has only deepened my respect for the region’s creative community. Suffolk is a discovery—those lucky enough to find it, as Turner and Constable once did, understand its unique spirit. The breadth of talent here deserves a wider audience.

Suffolk in the City: A Vision Realised
“Suffolk in the City” an initiative, spearheaded by Juliet , current Chair of Suffolk Craft Society, resonated deeply with me. She has a huge vision, much like mine. This collaboration allows us to bring Suffolk’s creative excellence to London, particularly during London Craft Week.

London Craft Week 2025
Pickett London’s involvement in London Craft Week 2025 is more than just an event, it’s a platform.
“It’s our chance to share what we do best: celebrate exceptional craftsmanship. We’re learning as we go, but we’re committed. We know we have something valuable to offer, not just to London, but to the world.”

Looking Ahead
For Pickett and the Suffolk Craft Society, London Craft Week is only the beginning.
“This is about showing the world the craftsmanship Suffolk has to offer. It's about legacy, tradition, and a future where making, not manufacturing, is once again celebrated.”
